Aruba Donkey Sanctuary
Founded in 1997 as a non-profit and completely volunteer run organization, our mission is simple. Save the Donkeys! So it's this month that we celebrate 20 years and the official inauguration of the new place.
Bonaire Donkey Sanctuary
The primary objective of Donkey Sanctuary Bonaire is to offer a sheltered, protected life to all the donkeys of Bonaire. Our information about the lives and experiences of donkeys is also raising awareness amongst the local community, schools and tourists.
Follys Farm Rest Home for Donkeys
Folly’s Farm Home of Rest for Donkeys and Ponies is a Hertfordshire-based non-profit organisation, run entirely on voluntary help and contributions. Most of our donkeys have been rescued from mistreatment and abuse, or from people who did not have the knowledge to give them proper care and attention. At Folly’s Farm we give them love, care and a comfortable home for the rest of their lives.
Hayling Island Donkeys
A place of loving care and peace for ex working Donkeys and those in need of help.
We originally started by buying two donkeys Ollie and Rusty who were giving rides to children on Hayling Island seafront.
They soon became part of the family and we continued the tradition along with adding many other services.
Working with these amazing animals has taught us a great deal and we now have a growing herd. One of the biggest things we have learnt is how magical a creature they are!
They bring a smile to the heavy hearted, a shriek of delight to young and old alike and a donkey hug seems to melt most problems away! It appears everyone loves a donkey including us.
Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary
Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary is a registered charity which cares for and protects abused and ill-treated donkeys and other animals. (Although we do not actively rescue other animals, those that have joined us in recent years include a sheep, some goats, chickens, geese, ducks and a pot bellied pig called Percy.)
Our donkey sanctuary is located in the picturesque village of Brightwell-cum-Sotwell, which is near Wallingford, Oxfordshire (England).
We welcome visitors between 11am and 4pm daily.
Although we do not charge an entrance fee, donations are appreciated.
Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary
The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary is based between Shanklin and Ventnor on the road to Wroxall and we are open all year round from 10:00am till 4:30pm, weather permitting. Everyone is welcome to come and visit our lovely donkeys including well behaved dogs. The charity relies entirely on donations, adoptions and the many fundraising activities held throughout the year.
Lockwood Centre for Horses & Donkeys
We are an equine centre which rehabilitates and rehomes horses, ponies and donkeys. We also have a resident herd of donkeys who remain in our permanent care.
On these pages you will be able to find out more about our work, our equines, volunteering at the centre and how you can become involved in supporting us.
Please note that we are only open to general visitors between the months of April and October, when you can meet the donkeys every Wednesday or Sunday between 11.30am and 4pm.
We have a small shop selling ice creams, gifts and drinks and there are footpaths to wander around the donkey fields. You can also enjoy a picnic in our garden area and watch Donkey Treat Time at 12.30pm or Donkey Grooming at 2.30pm.
Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary
There are hundreds of donkeys waiting to meet you here in Sidmouth. Take a look around, and you're sure to discover much more besides! Here's a glimpse of what our little corner of Devon has to offer...
